It is a very daunting task to begin anything. I always start blogs like this one and then give it up in a few weeks when I get discouraged or bored. But I'm going to try it again.
This is going to be a blog about stuff that I care about or like or think is funny. I'm just going to be putting stuff out there and if anything is offensive to you or you wonder why I would waste my time posting this or that thing, you're more than welcome to keep reading and commenting, but I'm just doing this for fun, and to get in the habit of writing more, since I really enjoy writing even if it's not always the greatest quality.
They always tell you to "begin with the end in mind" when you undertake some great endeavor. For me, that part comes naturally. Almost too much so. To the point that if I think about the "end" too much, it is paralyzing. I need to learn to slow down, chill, and let some stuff happen without worrying too much about the results. If I truly believe in God's sovereignty (which I claim to do), I must cease my endless sowing and reaping, laboring and spinning, and rest in the truth of God's victory.
I know we have a mission and a purpose. I know that we must all journey a long, long road before we reach the Promised Land (whether we're speaking metaphorically or eschatologically). But every journey begins with one footstep, and all ends have a beginning.
